JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATED 10:01 a.m.- Sadie Tillis Elementary is back open.
UPDATED 8:58 a.m.- The suspect behind the threats has been arrested, and the school is in the process of reopening. DCPS is asking parents to keep their children at home until staff can arrive and reopen the school. The school is arranging buses to bring students and staff back to the campus.

Duval County Public Schools announced that Sadie Tillis Elementary is on lockdown and student buses are being diverted to Westside Middle School until further notice due to a social media threat.
According to an email sent to parents, someone both threatened to conduct a shooting at the school and called in a bomb threat early Thursday morning. At this time, the school is on a Code Red lockdown, and police are investigating where the threat came from.
Parents are being urged to keep their children at home until the school says that its safe to return. Students already on buses can be picked up at Westside Middle School.
