JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Several vehicles were targeted at a apartment complex on Jacksonville’s Southside.
The suspects smashed several windows at the Lost Lake Apartments on AC Skinner Parkway.
“They took a CD out of my car,” said victim Ron Cooper. “I could've made them one for free.”
Residents said the incident happened late Thursday night.
“You're on a safe side of town and you work hard for what you get and what you have, and for people to just break into your car it feels violating,” said victim Brittney Carrasco.
Neighbors believe the suspects hit whatever cars they could.
Action News Jax spoke with the manager. She said the gates are to limit access, they're not the end all be all for security. She said the complex will be offering to provide the victims a garage at a reduced rate.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
