St. Johns County deputies arrested a 24-year-old St. Augustine man after a monthslong child pornography investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
SJSO posted on Facebook Wednesday announcing the arrest of Dennis Christopher Musser.
Deputies said detectives started investigating after they were notified of concerning material on Musser's social media accounts.
They contacted him and he agreed to meet to talk about the allegations, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said through forensic downloads, they found evidence of numerous depictions of child sexual abuse. This included images and videos that are known to exist and be shared on the internet, according to the sheriff's office.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Musser for possession of depictions of child sexual conduct. He was booked at the St. Johns County jail.
Deputies said none of the depictions originated in St. Johns County and no victims were identified in the investigation.
