JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man and a woman are dead following an apparent murder-suicide shooting incident at a mobile home on Lannie Road Sunday night, according to police in Jacksonville. Neighbors and family friends have identified the man as Tim Ricks and his neice Jodie Lore.

Another woman, who neighbors believe was the man's wife, had also been shot and seriously injured. She was taken to UF Health.

A neighbor who lives off of Lannie Road told Action News Jax he was headed out to dinner with his family Sunday night--when he saw all  of the commotion.

He asked not to be shown on-camera.

Our first assumption was, maybe there's another prison break, because that happened about a year and a half ago,” he told Cole.

But the neighbor told Action News Jax he found out it was something far worse.

“One of our friends lives about a quarter of a mile down and informed us there was a shooting across the street from us.”

According to the JSO incident report, officers responded to a "person shot" around 8:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they saw one of the two women that was shot. She was taken to UF Health right away.

JSO then called for SWAT after being unable to make contact with others inside this mobile home.

When they went inside, they found the bodies of a man neighbors and family friends have identified as Ricks and Lore.

The neighbor told us they were allowed to return home around 3 a.m., but found something left behind in their yard.

“We found those rubber bullets this morning. It was a little unnerving.”

When Cole asked JSO about the rubber bullets and if anyone officers discharged their weapons on Sunday, the spokesperson said, “SWAT members expended less lethal rounds in an unsuccessful attempt to disable some exterior lighting in the area around the trailer. No rounds were fired into the trailer or at anyone.”
