Buckman Bridge opens after being shut down due to police activity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lanes of the southbound Buckman Bridge are open after they were shut down earlier Monday afternoon due to police activity.

The Florida Highway Patrol had the right lane closed for further investigation after reopening the three left lanes, but all lanes are open, but traffic is moving slowly.

During the 2 p.m. hour, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol shut down the Interstate 295 bridge southbound at Roosevelt Boulevard.

At first, JSO said it would be shutting down two lanes southbound, but then it said all southbound lanes would be closed.
