St. Johns County art gallery hosting Black History Month events

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A local contemporary African art gallery is inviting the public to celebrate Black History Month.

Action News Jax first told you about Ovico Gallery when it opened last year.

Now, the gallery is hosting three events to celebrate Black History Month — highlighting new pieces, sessions with the featured artist, music, drinks and food.

There will also be virtual sessions with the featured artist Chike Onuorah, who is based in Nigeria.

The gallery’s owner says they also have three other exhibits in honor of Black History Month in Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami.

You can get more information about the events or RSVP by visiting their website HERE.
