Youth Resource Deputy Jody Hull was laid to rest in St. Johns County on Saturday. The road was closed on Old Moultrie Road from Kings Estates and Lewis Point during the procession.

ORIGINAL STORY: A St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputy has died.
The sheriff’s office said deputy Jody Hull passed away Saturday morning.
Hull was a four-year member of SJSO, most recently serving as the Youth Resource Deputy at St. Augustine High School. Prior to moving to St. Johns, Hull worked for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for four years.
“Deputy Hull positively impacted the lives of so many St. Augustine High School students as a Youth Resource Deputy. He was passionately dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the youth around him,” Sheriff Hardwick said.
“Deputy Hull was a valued member of our St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office family and will be greatly missed.”
The St. Augustine Beach Police Department also offered its condolences on Facebook.
“Deputy Hull was a great deputy, but even better person who was part of the Putnam and St. Johns county law enforcement community. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers.”
According to sources, Deputy Hull died from COVID-19.
