St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office motor unit partakes in Benevolent fundraiser

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County motor unit was in Oviedo, Florida today to participate in the 11th annual Matt Miller Motorcyclist Skills Challenge, benefiting the Seminole County Benevolent Fund.

The event is named after Seminole County Deputy Sheriff Matt Miller, who passed away in the line of duty while operating his agency-issued motorcycle.

The Motorcycle Skills Challenge event place motormen to competitively test themselves in challenging courses, to hone their motorcycle handling skills and to remember the brotherhood.

At the end of the day, SJSO motor unit brought home gold and silver medals in their division.
