St. Johns County unveils new brand logo in first-of-its-kind initiative

ST. JOHNS, Fla. — St. Johns County has launched a new brand that aims to highlight the county’s unique assets, marking the first time in its 200-plus-year history that such a brand has been developed.

Developed based on extensive community research, the brand highlights the county’s waterways, natural resources, history, and abundant opportunities for outdoor activities with its tagline “Florida at First Sight.” The branding project was supported and funded in part by the St. Johns County Industrial Development Authority (IDA).

Hunter Conrad, County Administrator for St. Johns County, expressed his gratitude for the community’s support and feedback, as well as the IDA’s support for this initiative, which marks the first time in the country’s history that a brand has been developed.

The brand was designed by St. Augustine-based company Future Friends and will be implemented in phases, with residents expected to start seeing it reflected on the county website, social media, vehicles, and staff uniforms. The county seal will remain in use and will be limited primarily to official records and documents pertaining to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners.

The new brand will also be used in St. Johns County’s economic development efforts when marketing to potential businesses looking to relocate or expand in the area. The aim of these marketing efforts is to provide more high-wage jobs for residents and increase the county’s commercial tax base. Kevin Kennedy, Chair of the St. Johns County IDA, expressed pride in supporting this branding endeavor, noting that it will further enhance the county’s focus on economic development.

The new brand was unveiled at the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners meeting and will be at the forefront of the county’s marketing efforts moving forward. Interested individuals can visit sjcfl.us for more information.
