ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Starting today, an ensemble cast of the finest chefs, bartenders and pitmasters join forces for a live fire grilling and cocktail exhibition in St. Augustine.
The two-day event is called Masters of Fire & Ice and runs May 12-13 at Asadolife.

“This is our favorite event of the year. It is the passion of the participants that makes this event such an amazing culinary event,” said Nick & Christie Carrera, co-owners of Asadolife, which opened in 2022.
This waterfront restaurant offers dinner and a show — the entertainment feature is watching food grilled to perfection on an outdoor asado, a wood-burning Argentinian grill, built by Nick Carrera.
Asado-style whole lamb and pig roasts will be featured each night by award-winning pitmasters. The female pitmasters, which include December 2022 Chopped Champion Merry Graham, will present this special part of the event.
“In the spirit of an Asado, this is where everyone comes together,” Christie Carrera explained.

The event will support Epic-Cure Inc., a charity organization dedicated to eliminating food waste, ending hunger, promoting success through self-sufficiency, and connecting generations.
Tickets for the event include three courses prepared by the three featured chefs and three signature cocktails crafted by the three featured bartenders. The Pitmasters will present a whole fire-roasted pig or lamb at the end. Two additional drink vouchers for beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverages are also included in the ticket price.
Each night will feature new chefs and bartenders. Tickets are $225 each day or $400 for the 2-day package. Price includes tax & gratuity. RSVP at asadolife.com/masters-of-fire-ice.
