ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office will begin DUI patrols this weekend starting Friday night at 6 p.m. The operation is referred to as “DUI Wolf Pack.”
The goal of the operation is to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage that occur due to DUI traffic crashes. It is designed to inform drivers of the dangers of driving under the influence, according to SJCSO.
Along with the Florida Highway Patrol and the St. Augustine Police Department, SJCSO will be out on high-traffic roadways in St. Johns County from Friday evening to 4 a.m. on Saturday. Mothers Against Drunk Driving will also be supporting the operation.
SJCSO reminds drivers to always plan ahead with a designated driver or a safe way home. Additionally, if you are impaired, call a taxi, ride-sharing service or a sober friend or family member to come pick you up.
