JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — “That’s my squad. If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us because we are family,” said Tristyn Bailey in one of her TikTok videos.

It’s a motto we learned holds true in every aspect of her life.

Her mother, Stacy, said, “We are forever changed as a family, but we will always be the Bailey seven.”

Bailey’s celebration of life on Tuesday is a clear testament to how big of an impact she had on those who knew her.

Because we quickly learned to know her was to love her.

One of Bailey’s friend’s mom said, “Tristyn’s legacy will carry on when we live like she did. When we open our arms wide and welcome mothers in. When we show kindness when we step up and help others and when we smile with our entire face.”

Her family shared words of gratitude for the remarkable support they’ve felt these last 10 days.

“You guys amaze us, and the outpour of love from our community is breathtaking,” said Stacy.

From the teal bows and ribbons to the incredible memorial and vigils so many became a part of, there was overwhelming love to ensure the Bailey family will keep her name shining.

Her father, Forrest, said, “We want you to continue that further and really take her name to heart and hear her cheering you on.”

“It never goes away. They are always going to be hurting. It’s always within them, and they need to feel the love that we’ve had the opportunity to feel.”
