‘Heartbroken:’ Creekside High football mourning alumni killed in car crash

ST. JOHNS, Fla. — A former football player for Creekside High School and current Stetson University player died in a car accident, according to a Facebook post from the Creekside Football team.

Trenton Stewart had just finished his first year in college majoring in Cyber Security and returned to his home in St. Johns County.

Trenton was a defensive lineman for Stetson University. He won the Fall 2022 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll and planned to return to campus in the summer.
