Students at San Jose Elementary School are remembering their music teacher, Deborah Liles.
“She was smart and she taught us everything we know. She gave us a lot of knowledge,” fifth-grader Jayden Smith said.
“A lot of people are really sad in school,” fourth-grader Hisham Safar said.

Liles was killed in her Panama Park home Thursday. Her killer is still on the run.
Her stolen car was found over the weekend behind an abandoned home off Golfair Boulevard.
Former FBI agent and Action News Jax law and safety expert Dale Carson said investigators will be combing through the car for DNA, and looking for surveillance video.
“They’ll look at traffic cameras near stores,” Carson said.
Carson said Liles' footprint in this community could help with her case.

“Any case that has the media coverage and someone with a long history will bring more investigative tips,” Carson said.
Her students said everyone was talking about Liles today.
“They were saying they loved Mrs. Liles,” Jayden said.
They say it won’t be the same without her.
