The teen accused in the murder of 19-year-old Joerod Adams after a Raines High School football game has been charged as an adult.

Robert Howard,16, appeared on a second-degree murder charge and two attempted murder charges Wednesday morning.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson explains Howard faces 30 years to life in prison, but securing a life sentence could be a challenge.

Today, the State Attorney’s office released Howard’s disposition statement after charges for carrying a concealed weapon were dropped earlier this year.
