JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — If you ever wanted to test drive an electric car, here’s your opportunity.

Sept. 25 through Oct. 3 is National Drive Electric Week, and to celebrate, JEA will host its first electric vehicle event at the Museum of Science and History.

Attendees will learn more about the benefits of electric cars, and will also get to test drive some of the newest electric cars from local dealerships, including Volkswagen, BMW and Porsche.

Current electric vehicle drivers will also be in attendance and those who would like to share why they like driving electric cars can record a message at the event’s video booth.

The first 100 guests will be offered a $5 coupon for admission to the museum, and JEA said there will be other prize opportunities throughout the day.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. at MOSH located at 1025 Museum Circle in downtown Jacksonville.
