JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — WATCH LIVE: Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh is tracking the tropics all morning long on FOX30.
July 31 Update: The First Alert Weather Team is tracking a highly disorganized tropical wave near Hispaniola that will move northwestward over the next few days.
Environmental conditions are not conducive for tropical development as it approaches Florida, and the National Hurricane Center has low odds of development.
Also, a pretty active wave is off the coast of Africa southwest of the Cabo Verde islands.
Little development is expected in the short term, however, we could see some development over the weekend well east of the Lesser Antilles.
