Two men wanted in deadly shootout inside Brunswick bar

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Two men are wanted in connection to a deadly shooting in Brunswick over the weekend.

Action News Jax first told you Saturday night that one person was killed and five others were hurt in a shootout inside the Bamboo Lounge located on Glynn Avenue.

According to the Brunswick Police Department, an off-duty officer working outside the bar called for backup after hearing several shots from inside the club.

Investigators said two men got into a verbal fight and at some point, guns were drawn. Both men opened fire, resulting in six people, four women and two men, being struck by bullets. Police say the age of the victims ranges from 25 to 52.

Three of the victims reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and have since been released from the hospital.

BPD said Brandon Capers, 32, of Brunswick, died.

In a Facebook post, BPD announced it has issued arrest warrants for 27-year-old Antonio Duncan and 26-year-old Darren Cowart Jr., both of whom are from Brunswick.

Police say Duncan is wanted for murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Cowart is charged with being party to a crime of murder.

Investigators say Duncan is considered armed and dangerous and he should not be approached.
