JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A crash involving a semi truck on Jacksonville’s northside sends two teenage boys to the hospital Tuesday morning.
The tractor-trailer was trying to turn onto I-95 from Dunn Avenue when an SUV entered the intersection. Florida Highway Patrol said that’s when the front of the car hit the side of the semi and stuck underneath for about 30 feet.
Both vehicles eventually came to a rest on the interstate ramp going southbound just after midnight. The 63-year-old man driving the semi from North Fort Meyers was not injured. Troopers say the two 17-year-old boys inside the sports car were taken to the hospital. One is suffering serious injuries and the other is in critical condition.
