LAKE BUTLER, Fla. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Anthony Lydell George after connecting him with a fatal shooting Saturday night.

At approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, the UCSO were dispatched to the west area of S.W. 1st Terrace around S.W. 8th Lane, Lake Butler, in response to a call about shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located three victims with gunshot wounds. UC Emergency Rescue transported the victims to a local hospital for treatment where one eventually succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation was conducted by several organizations including the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Department of Corrections K9 team and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
The investigation revealed that the incident was domestic and involved Lake Butler resident Anthony Lydell George, his significant other and their two friends.

George fled the scene and is still on the run. He is described as a 56-year-old Black man who wears glasses and has a small, white beard. He is considered armed and dangerous.
