West Nassau High school alum now a World Series champion after Nationals win over Astros

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A local is now a World Series champion.

Howard 'Howie' Kendrick, a former baseball player for the West Nassau High School Warriors, plays for the Washington Nationals and helped top the Houston Astros Wednesday night.

Kendrick homered in the seventh inning as the Nationals overcame a two-run deficit, rocking the Houston Astros 6-2 to win the first title in franchise history.
