JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The woman who kidnapped a baby from a Jacksonville hospital in 1998 and raised her as her own daughter for 18 years won't get her sentence reduced.

Action News Jax first reported last year when Gloria Williams was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the kidnapping of Kamiyah Mobley, who is now 21.

Williams said her sentence was unreasonable.

The First District Court of Appeal rejected her appeal for a sentence reduction.

Williams raised Mobley under the name Alexis Manigo. Mobley was reunited with her biological family in 2017 after Williams' arrest.
The story of the Mobley case is coming to the small screen. "Kidnapped: The Kamiyah Mobley Story" will premiere on 2020 on Lifetime and will be produced by award-winning journalist Robin Roberts.
