BAL HARBOUR, Fla — A south Florida boy is being hailed a hero after doing something that possibly saved his little brother's life.
The 9-year-old dashed to his 11-month-old brother's rescue inside their Bal Harbour home the moment he rolled off a changing table, and it was caught on surveillance video.
The baby's mother, Tila Levi, placed him on the table then turned her back for a moment to address one of her other children, and that’s when the baby rolled over.
"I was just getting everyone ready for bed. I was home alone with the five kids, and at first, I said, I messed up. I did something wrong. But then I realized that it was just a miracle. I must have did something right to have been deserving of this little guy, running in at the right time and running in at the right moment," Levi said.
Joseph Levi talked about how he was able to catch his 30-pound brother, just in time.
"I would have never caught him, and I can't run that fast. So I felt like something came and just pushed me forward, and then when that happened, I just ran and caught him,” said Levi.
Joseph said he's surprised by his ability to catch his brother because he's normally too heavy for him to carry.
