KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A toddler was killed in a drive-by shooting Monday in Missouri, authorities said.
According to WDAF and KMBC, Kansas City police said the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. when shots were fired into a parked vehicle near the intersection of 33rd Street and Agnes Avenue. Gunfire struck 1-year-old Tyron Payton and two of the three adults in the vehicle, WDAF reported.
The victims were taken to an area hospital, where the boy died, according to the news outlets. The others – a man and a woman – were treated for critical injuries and have since stabilized, WDAF reported.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting, according to KMBC. If you have information about the case, call 816-474-8477, police said. Tipsters may be eligible for up to a $25,000 reward, WDAF reported.
