PIKE COUNTY, Miss. — Four Mississippi residents are accused of allowing a 3-year-old child to smoke marijuana on more than one occasion, authorities said.
Police said a video went viral on social media of the child smoking the drug, WLBT reported.
Anna Waldron, William Albright, Kalie Green and Samantha Dykes were arrested by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, WAPT reported.
Waldron, the mother of the child, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of a game animal in captivity, the television station reported.
Albright is facing the same charges, while Green was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child, WAPT reported.
Dykes was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, the television station reported.
On Tuesday, agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics received multiple complaints about a video on social media that allegedly showed an adult giving the child marijuana to smoke, The Daily Leader of Brookhaven reported.
Green and Waldron told authorities that the event occurred at Albright’s home in McComb, the newspaper reported.
Child Protective Services was notified and currently has custody of the child, WLBT reported.
