CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University quarterback Trevor Lawrence knows how to run an offense. Friday at midfield, the Tigers quarterback showed he knows how to pop the question.
Lawrence proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Marissa Mowry, at Memorial Stadium, WCSC reported. She said yes.
“Easiest YES of my life!!!” Mowry wrote on Instagram, displaying a photo of Lawrence proposing on bended knee.
The couple met while attending high school in Cartersville, Georgia. They have been dating for six years, WCSC reported.
“You’re everything I’ve dreamed of. I love you and can’t wait to marry you,” Lawrence wrote on Instagram.
Lawrence, who will be a junior this season, led Clemson to a national title as a freshman and lifted the Tigers into the championship game in January.
Mowry stars on the women’s soccer team at Anderson University in South Carolina, according to Bleacher Report.
