A bride and groom had a dream wedding planned at a Florida estate.
They even sent out invitations to their “dream home an estate” that included a Saturday ceremony and a Sunday brunch.
But imagine the surprise when the home’s owner got a knock on the door when people showed up for a wedding the estate’s owner had nothing to do with or approved, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Nathan Finkel, the owner of the property, was met by groom Courtney Wilson and another person to set up for the wedding.
Wilson and his bride, Shenita Jones said God told them that would be the place they would marry, dubbing themselves “the Royal Couple,” the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Finkel knew nothing about the wedding and had to call the authorities.
“I have people trespassing on my property,” Finkel told 911, the newspaper reported. “And they keep harassing me, calling me. They say they’re having a wedding here and it’s God’s message. I don’t know what’s going on. All I want is [for] it to stop. And they’re sitting at my property right at the front gate right now.”
Wilson was told to leave, and he did. He does not face charges, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
When the newspaper contacted Wilson about the incident, he would not comment.
So how did the couple know about the ins and outs of the property that included a 16,313-square-foot home with nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a bowling alley, a theater and a bar?
Apparently, Wilson toured the estate, which is listed for sale, months ago, an attorney for the development told the newspaper.

Keith Poliakoff, attorney for Southwest Ranches, said someone contacted Finkel about using the backyard for a wedding but he declined. But the couple still sent invitations, calling the home the “Wilson Estate” and hoping that the property would be vacant.
They missed one small detail. Finkel lives on the property in a different building.
In the end, the wedding didn’t happen at the estate, and while the couple did file for a marriage license, they had not registered their marriage as of Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.
