Deputies arrested Guillermo Silva on second-degree murder charges, after they said he killed a man and woman inside their home near West Palm Beach on July 2.

“He had my mom’s phone and he said, ‘Put the camera on, I got something for you,” Gabriela Lagos told WPTV.

Lagos, Silva’s wife and the daughter of the victims, told WPEC that she was out of town at the time, and her husband had been looking after her parents.

“He said, ‘Turn the camera on, turn the camera on, I want to show you something,’” Lagos told WPEC. “He recorded videos for me, to see my parents dead. I can’t believe it. He’s a monster, that he can do that to two older people.”

Lagos said that her eldest son went to her parents’ house on July 2 to drop off money, and found the bodies and Silva, WPEC reported.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told WPBF that Silva threatened to kill Lagos’ son with a knife, but that the victim was able to overpower and restrain Silva. Silva told deputies that he did not remember killing the victims or threatening Lagos’ son.

Silva told deputies that he had been drinking earlier in the day, and had a verbal argument with the victims before he went to sleep, WPTV reported.

“I’m in a really bad dream. A nightmare. I can’t wake up,” Lagos told WPEC.

Lagos told WPEC that her 11-year-old adopted grandson, who has autism and is non-verbal, was also in the house at the time of the murders but was not hurt.
