ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. — Rescue crews in Louisiana had an interesting job to do after Hurricane Ida blew through.

Employees from St. Bernard Parish rescued a cow that had become wedged in a tree in Florissant, Louisiana.

The rescue was caught on video and posted to the parish’s Twitter account.
At least five people have died in Louisiana and Mississippi since Hurricane Ida made landfall, The Associated Press reported.
Over 1 million homes and businesses were left without power and it could be weeks until power is fully restored, despite 25,000 utility workers trying to reconnect broken lines.

More than 3,600 FEMA employees have been sent to the region as the agency handed out meals, water, tarps and generators.
In Grand Isle, a barrier island in Jefferson Parish, every building was damaged by the storm, the AP reported.
