SPRING, Texas — A man has died after an argument with his spouse led to a shooting in Spring, Texas, officials say.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out Friday morning to a house on White Springs Court for an incident, according to KHOU.
In a news release, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said investigators learned an argument between the husband and wife may have led up to a struggle over a gun that discharged and hit the man.
The man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries, Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez also said that during the shooting, the couple’s four children were home at the time. The oldest child was a 16-year-old.
The incident remains under investigation. Gonzalez said it is possible that the case will be referred to a grand jury. The grand jury is expected to determine if any charges will be filed, according to KHOU.
