JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The cause of the canopy drive-thru collapse at a Wells Fargo bank has been determined.
A representative from the Wells Fargo bank says the cause of the collapse was excessive ponding of water on the canopy.
The roof collapsed last Thursday night during a storm. No one was hurt.
A city employee previously told Action News that because the Wells Fargo building is a private building, inspections are not required like they would be for public buildings.
