Neptune Beach, FL — Big changes are in store for Pete’s Bar in Neptune Beach.
Action News Jax learned Monday that Pete’s is under contract to be sold.
A cryptic social media post by Pete’s Bar had patrons fearing the bar would be closing for good. The post said, “Maybe our last weekend ever?”
A Pete’s employee confirmed that Monday will be the last night the bar will be open under its current ownership.

The employee told Action News Jax the new owner will close the bar and do some “mild renovations,” then reopen in a week or so under the same name.
Pete’s Bar has been open since 1933. It was the first bar to open in Duval County after prohibition ended.
