HOW DID WE GET HERE?

On the first day of the NFL Draft in April, news broke that Jacksonville’s native son was working out with the Jaguars as a tight end.

Tebow was a quarterback during his national championship-winning time with the Florida Gators, and he was also under center during his time with the Denver Broncos, the New York Jets, the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.

On May 20, the team officially signed Tebow, reuniting him with Coach Urban Meyer, who was his coach during his time with the Gators.

During his break from the NFL, Tebow spent years competing in minor league baseball and also served as a college football analyst on ESPN and the SEC Network.

Tebow is also known for his philanthropy and his faith. In 2020, he married Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, a former Miss Universe, in South Africa.
