Elizabeth Campbell, Action News Jax
First Alert Traffic Anchor
Elizabeth Campbell joined the Action News Jax team in July as our morning Traffic Anchor after spending a wonderful eleven months at home with her first daughter.
She has nearly a decade of experience as a journalist, right here in Jacksonville, where she moved after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Elizabeth has held several titles in a newsroom including Associate Producer and Assignment Desk Editor but most recently served more than five years as a general assignment reporter covering everything from local plane crashes to high-profile murder trials. She also served many years as a local education reporter covering Duval and St. Johns counties, with Duval being one of the top 20 largest school districts in the nation. Elizabeth spent about a year as a Jacksonville entertainment reporter and host for an hour long weekday lifestyle program and shot, wrote and edited her own stories covering local events, musicians, restaurants and more.
Originally from the Peach State, Elizabeth grew up in Atlanta, GA where she visits as often as she can to see family and friends.
When not helping you get to work or school on time, you can find Elizabeth with her husband Chad, daughter Campbell and two dogs Lanier and Major. Elizabeth loves spending time at the beach, exercising, playing games and trying new restaurants.
Whether you have a traffic tip or would like to see your side of town highlighted more often during traffic reports, Elizabeth says to contact her on social media or send her an email at ecampbell@actionnewsjax.com. Happy driving!
