JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a 26-year-old woman was shot in the head on Mecca Street Tuesday night.
The woman was taken the hospital where she later died, according to police.
The Sheriff’s Office said it has five to 10 people detained for questioning in the shooting.
Based on the information police have right now, investigators believe the shooting could have been accidental.
There is no shooter information at this time, according to police.

She later died at a local hospital.
