Jacksonville, FL — UPDATE 11:15 a.m.:
We have just received new information from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office about the crash on the Main Street Bridge.
We now know one person is dead.
JSO responded to the crash just before 9 a.m. Sunday.
A Kia and an Infinity collided head-on after the driver of the Kia drove into oncoming traffic, according to officers.
The driver of the Infinity was critically injured but is expected to survive.
Investigators are working to find out if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The bridge itself was not damaged and should reopen shortly.
The identities of the drivers were not released.

If you’re headed to Downtown Jacksonville this morning, avoid the Main St. Bridge.
A serious crash has closed the bridge in both directions.
Two people were hurt and taken to the hospital, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is expected to provide an update on the crash later today.
Crews are responding to a traffic accident on the Main Street bridge…E1 is on scene advising one person is trapped …avoid the area.
