Deadly shooting in the Springfield area

Jacksonville, FL. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and JFRD responded to a deadly shooting on West 7th Street.

Upon arrival they found an adult white male suffering from a single gunshot wound.

JFRD assessed the victim but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

JSO believes three people were at a residence when a gun was displayed.

At some point, the gun discharged and the victim was shot and killed.

JSO don’t know if the shooting was intentional or accidental and are still investigating.
