Jacksonville, FL. — UPDATE 3/1/2021: After the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office conducted multiple interviews and investigated the scene further, they have arrested Lorenzo Stephan Ivy in connection to this incident.
He has been arrested for Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Weapon by a Delinquent Adult following the death of the victim.
JSO discovered the victim and Ivy knew each other.
According to JSO a verbal dispute broke out and which led to the suspect shooting the victim.
ORIGINAL STORY 2/27/2021: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a deadly shooting on West 18th Street.
Upon arrival officers found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
JSO has taken in two individuals in for questioning.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators as well as our prosecutor from the State Attorney’s Office are all on scene and conducting their initial investigation.
