Jacksonville, FL — Congratulations to Dr. Diana Greene. She was chosen as the 2021 Superintendent of the Year by the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.
Dr. Greene has worked in education for 33 years. She became DCPS superintendent in 2018.
The FADSS praised her work to increase Duval County’s graduation rate. It has improved almost 10 percentage points, from 76.6% in 2014-2015 to 86.5% in 2018-2019.
Greene is the second African-American woman to receive this honor since the awards program began in 1988.
