ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE, 7/28/2022, 4:51 p.m.: The Amber Alert has been canceled and police say that Banesa Fernandez-Santis has been found safe.

Florida law enforcement is searching for an 11-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped Thursday.

An Amber Alert was issued for Banesa Fernandez-Santis. She is around 5 feet 2 inches tall, 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said she was last seen in the area of the 5600th block of Arthur Brown Road in Walnut Hill, Florida.

Officers said Banesa has scars on her face.

Police said she may be in the company of 42-year-old Brijido Manriquez-Ortis, who is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
