Crews battle inferno after plastic planters catch fire at plant nursery in Osceola County

Firefighters from Osceola and Orange counties are responding to a large fire Thursday morning.

7 a.m. update:

Officials confirmed crews are continuing to battle the fire at the plant nursery.

Thousands of plastic pots used for planting are on fire at the location.

Officials said around 75 firefighters are working to put out the flames.

Officials said there are no reports of injuries.


6 a.m. update:

Osceola County officials said the large fire is burning after 5 acres of plastic planters caught fire at a nursery.

Crews are working to keep the fire from spreading.

Emergency personnel are monitoring air quality in the area.

Officials said no evacuations have been issued at this time.

Fire crews with Osceola County, Orange County and Kissimmee Fire Department are working together to battle the blaze.
