EDMOND, Okla. — Officer Brad Griffin wrote in his report he saw a dark blue 2007 Chrysler 300 sedan with an Oklahoma license plate driving westbound, then entering the eastbound lanes of the road to navigate around stopped traffic.
Griffin said he followed the car and initiated his emergency lights.
The driver pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store.
Officer Griffin approached the car to ask the driver for his license.
Griffin said he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the car after the driver rolled down the window.
The officer put Blackmon in handcuffs.
Blackmon, according to the report, told the officer he had been smoking a "blunt" of marijuana while driving.
The officer said he searched the car and found a full "blunt" inside a box of Swisher Sweets.
Police said they found the remnants of a second blunt in an open water bottle. Police said Blackmon admitted to smoking it as well.
Police issued citations for possession of marijuana and improper passing on the left.
Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said the team, at the moment, has not discussed cutting Blackmon.
"It's unfortunate," said Bradley at a news conference Thursday afternoon. "We have not had much contact with him. I'm praying he gets help he needs," said Bradley.
