CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dramatic video has surfaced of the "Free Hugs Project" creator hugging riot police officers in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday night.
Shortly after CEO Ken Nwadike hugged and spoke to an police office, civilians called out in anger.
Nwadike said that the point of his behavior is to act neutral in the midst of tensions between civilians and police.
It happened during the second night of unrest and protests in Charlotte that started in response to the police killing of a black man.
