Preliminary site work has begun with the placing of erosion control materials. The actual project is scheduled to begin Monday, Apr. 4, and is expected to end in October.
The first portion of the project will begin with excavation for a new storm pipe and associated structures. The work will start on the east side of Spur 25 on the Altama Connector, near the Chili’s restaurant.
Utility coordination will be required with the storm pipe and structures installation, so flagmen will be present when construction is occurring in the road directing traffic through the work area.

Access will be restricted in these areas during this work. The Board is advising motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to avoid this location, if possible. People should expect delays and use caution if travel is required near the construction area.
As the project progresses, Glynn County officials will provide additional details and warnings to advise motorists, residents and businesses.
