And while Sneakers does have a huge dining room area, not everyone feels comfortable going out to a bar for Super Bowl Sunday.
Instead some are turning to catering and hosting smaller parties at home.
Action News Jax spoke with Shannon Snell a pit master with Sonny’s BBQ, as he whipped up some brisket nachos and smoked wings this Monday morning.
Snell said like many businesses Sonny’s has seen an uptick in takeout and curbside pickup since the pandemic hit.
“60 percent of off-premise sales is what we’re at and that’s great, Snell said.
If you’re headed out to a restaurant to watch the game it’s important to make sure it’s at a place where employees are wearing mask, gloves, and wiping down tables each time someone leaves.
Pratt said in order to survive, it’s important for any business to learn how to adapt to the changes during the pandemic.
“We’ve learned lots of new ways to do business I think it’s made us a stronger company moving forward to-go food on the patio, to-go drinks at one point. We’re blessed to have a large patio here,” Pratt said.
If you are having a party at home, experts say you should still practice social distancing, wear face coverings and try to limit parties to no more than 10 people.
