Man missing from the Regency area located in another state

Jacksonville, FL — UPDATE: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says William Mann, who was first reported missing Wednesday afternoon in the Regency area, was located in a neighboring state.

They made that announcement around 11:45 a.m. Thursday.

JSO did not provide any other details on the Silver Alert or what state he was found in, but they did thank the community for their help.

JSO is asking for help locating a missing man out of the Regency area.

77-year-old William George Mann was last seen around 5 p.m. Wednesday visiting a family member at an assisted living facility near Regency Square and Monument Road.

Mann is White, 5′10″, 240 pounds, with hazel eyes, salt and pepper hair, and was last seen wearing a black “Vet” hat with a Purple Heart in the middle, blue jeans, and a multi-colored plaid shirt. He also has a tattoo on his upper left tricep that says “Mom.”

JSO says Mann is reportedly diagnosed with early on set Dementia.

He could be driving a 2016 KIA Soul with Florida tag IPUK97. The vehicle has a handicap card on the rear view mirror, a dent on the driver side, and a Colorado Springs dealership tag.
