Jacksonville, FL. — The Regency vaccination site, which is run by the Florida Division of Emergency Management, is now the only public site serving all of Duval County.

After two city-run sites and the county health department’s Prime Osborn site stopped administering first doses, access was reduced some neighborhoods.
Patients at the Regency site will now notice buses with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority are stopping right in front of the location.
It was a move made by JTA to increase access for seniors and healthcare workers.
In a statement, JTA told Action News Jax, “The routes serving the Regency Square Mall now make an additional stop in front of testing site during vaccination hours.”
Buses are free to anyone 65 years and older and, now, this is expanded to include healthcare workers.
The First Coast Flyer Red Line is the easiest route with direct access from the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center to the beaches.
It makes a stop at Regency, and 27 other bus routes connect with the Red Line.
The ReadiRide system also provides appointment-only rides from anywhere in the Arlington area to Regency.
JTA expanded its service to include the Spring Park neighborhood along Beach Boulevard to improve access.
“The JTA formed a Vaccine Distribution Task Force in 2020 to evaluate the needs of and to assist local and state officials and healthcare providers as they begin a rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in our community,” said JTA Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel P. Ford Sr. “These efforts will evolve as needs change, vaccine capacity grows and eligibility expands to additional populations.”
JTA said it will expand access as necessary when more vaccination sites pop up.
