CARTER COUNTY, OK. — Suspended Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested for DUI after underperforming on several field sobriety tests during a traffic stop in Oklahoma.
Blackmon was arrested on Dec. 19 at about 4:45 a.m. in Carter County after officers found him and another man in a vehicle that was stopped in a service lane at an intersection.
The officer said the smell of alcohol was coming from inside the vehicle, according to the police report from the Ardmore Police Department.
Blackmon admitted to an officer that he and his friend had been drinking nearby at Chevy's Bar. He told the officer he drank "just two drinks," and submitted to standard field sobriety tests.
The officer noted Blackmon's speech was very slow and spured. He was also "unsteady on his feet" as he walked toward the patrol car, and swayed back and forth during tests, according to the report.
He used his arms for balance during tests, including the one leg stand, according to police.

He failed the preliminary breath test and refused a second breath test, according to the report.
The officer also concluded from a gaze test that Blackmon had a high level of intoxicants in his body.
He refused to give the officer his phone number and became angry during booking at the jail, according to the report.
Blackmon was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was suspended indefinitely without pay in 2013 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
According to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office jail log, Blackmon was released later that morning.
