Action News Jax spoke with students like Winter Hughes about the concern.
“It’s scary, as someone who has classes at night when it’s darker out and some people do leave at different times, where some people will leave class early and they won’t have someone to walk them to their car or anything,” Hughes said. “Especially as a female, it’s really terrifying.”
Campus police said the student didn’t want to file a report, but that this was made in an abundance of caution.
