PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old student was arrested Thursday after allegedly making false reports of violent threats to Jenkins Middle School.
During an investigation, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office discovered the student used a cellphone to call Jenkins Middle School on Wednesday afternoon and threatened a violent act that would take place on campus Thursday, according to Putnam County Schools.

This is the second incident involving a Putnam County school in the past week. The other was a false threat made Feb. 21 by a runaway juvenile from Volusia County.
The Putnam County Schoo Distric is stressing to parents, students and members of the community that any and all threats to the schools will be treaded seriously and charges will be filed every time.
